Our Company Story
The Card Company has been helping customers send personalised Christmas cards since 1999. From small beginnings to thousands of orders over the years, our focus has always remained the same: friendly service, quality Christmas cards and personalisation customers can trust.
Today, we specialise in personalised charity Christmas cards for businesses, organisations, schools, clubs, families and individuals across the UK.
Established in 1999
The Card Company began in 1999 with a simple idea: to offer a reliable, personal and helpful Christmas card service for customers who wanted something more meaningful than an ordinary card.
In our first year, we hand delivered around 2,000 brochures, mostly to local customers. By the following year, demand had grown significantly and we were mailing around 30,000 brochures. That early growth helped shape the business we are today.
Growing with Our Customers
As more customers discovered our personalised Christmas cards, we continued to develop the range, improve the ordering process and introduce more ways for customers to personalise their cards.
With the growth of the internet, we launched our website in 2006. The following year, we added online ordering, making it easier for customers to choose a design, add their personalisation and place their Christmas card order from anywhere in the UK.
Online ordering has become an important part of our service, but we still believe in being easy to speak to. Customers can continue to call us for help, advice and guidance before placing an order.
Personal Service Since 1999
Many of our customers return year after year, and some have been with us since our very first Christmas season. We are extremely grateful for that loyalty and support.
Cardiff, Bristol and Exeter
As the company grew, so did the need for more space. In April 2008, The Card Company moved to larger premises in the centre of Cardiff, giving us room to continue improving our service and supporting more customers.
In July 2017, due to further expansion and a new strategic direction, the company relocated to Bristol.
In 2024, The Card Company relocated again, this time to Exeter. This move marked a new chapter for the business while allowing us to continue serving our customers with the same personal approach, care and attention to detail.
Personalised Charity Christmas Cards
Over the years, our Christmas card range has continued to evolve. We offer a wide choice of personalised Christmas cards, including traditional, contemporary, religious, funny, winter scene, business and bespoke designs.
Customers can personalise cards with their own greeting, company name, contact details, logos, signatures and charity accreditation. Every order includes a free e-proof before printing, helping customers check their wording and layout before production begins.
We are also proud to support charities through our personalised charity Christmas cards. For every card sold, 10p is donated to the customer’s chosen charity, helping festive greetings support worthwhile causes.
