Ordering Personalised Christmas Cards

How can I order personalised Christmas cards?

The quickest way to order personalised Christmas cards is through our website. Ordering online helps speed up the process and gives you free courier delivery, saving the standard £7.50 + VAT delivery charge.

How can I view the Christmas card designs?

You can browse our Christmas card designs online by category or by price band. This makes it easier to find the right card style for your business, organisation, school, club, charity or family.

You can also request a brochure online and we will post it to you, so you can look through the range in your own time.

When is the last date for ordering Christmas cards?

We strongly recommend ordering your personalised Christmas cards as early in the season as possible. Earlier orders usually move through proofing and printing more quickly, while production times can become longer as Christmas approaches.

Ordering early also gives you more time to approve your proof, prepare your cards and send them before the Christmas post becomes busy. If Christmas is fast approaching, please call us and we will help as best we can.

Samples, Proofs and Personalisation

Can I see a sample before I buy?

Yes. We recommend ordering samples if there are designs you particularly like. A printed sample lets you see the finish, quality and overall feel of the card, which is not always possible from images alone.

You can order free samples through our website, or you can call or email us with the designs you would like to see and the address you would like them sent to.

Will I receive a proof before my cards are printed?

Yes. Every personalised Christmas card order includes a free e-proof. This allows you to check your greeting, names, company details, charity accreditation, logos, signatures and layout before printing begins.

Your order will not go to print until your proof has been approved, giving you confidence that everything is correct.

Can I change my wording or quantity after ordering?

You can change your personalisation details and order quantity up until the point you approve your proof. Once your proof has been approved, your order goes into production and it is usually too late to make changes.

Can I use a different typeface for my greeting?

Yes. We have many common fonts available. If you would like a specific typeface, let us know the font name and we will confirm whether it can be used for your personalised Christmas cards.

What’s Included and Optional Extras

What is included in the basic price?

The basic price includes personalisation on selected card fronts where available, your choice of standard greeting or your own greeting printed inside the card in black ink, your name or company details, your chosen charity accreditation, easy-seal envelopes and a free e-proof.

Online orders also include free courier delivery. Please note that all prices are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.

Do all Christmas cards come with envelopes?

Yes. All of our personalised Christmas cards are supplied with white peel-and-seal envelopes selected to fit the size of the card.

If you need a few replacement envelopes due to an accident while signing or preparing your cards, please contact us and we will do our best to help.

Can I add my company logo?

Yes. You can add your company logo in black print for £20.00 + VAT per order, or add your logo in colour for £50.00 + VAT per order.

Adding a logo is a popular option for businesses that want their Christmas cards to look more professional and consistent with their brand.

Can I add printed signatures?

Yes. You can add one or more printed signatures in black print for £20.00 + VAT per order, or add signatures in colour for £50.00 + VAT per order.

Printed signatures can be supplied digitally, or you can send a good-quality original for us to scan.

Charity Christmas Cards

Can I choose a charity with my Christmas cards?

Yes. All of our personalised Christmas cards can include a charity accreditation, and The Card Company donates 10p from every card sold to your chosen charity.

How much is donated to charity?

We donate 10p from every personalised Christmas card sold to your selected charity. This allows your festive greetings to support a good cause while still creating a professional and personal card.

Delivery and Payment

How much is delivery?

Delivery of samples is free of charge. Online Christmas card orders receive free courier delivery, saving the standard £7.50 + VAT delivery charge.

Orders placed by other methods are charged at £7.50 + VAT for courier delivery. Delivery to Northern Ireland, the Scottish Isles, Ireland and the Channel Islands is charged at £20.00 + VAT. Delivery to European countries is charged at £30.00 + VAT.

If you place multiple orders at the same time and they are being sent to the same delivery address, there is only one delivery charge.

How long will my Christmas cards take to be delivered?

Once your proof has been approved, your order goes into the printing process. We ask customers to allow up to 12 working days for dispatch, with courier delivery taking a further 48 hours.

Orders with colour printing, bespoke work or special front personalisation may take a little longer. We will email you when your Christmas cards have been dispatched so you know when to expect delivery.

How can I pay for my Christmas cards?

You can pay by debit card, Visa or Mastercard. A VAT receipt will be sent separately from your order.

Businesses can request a proforma invoice, which must be paid before the order is sent to print. Payment can usually be made by card, cheque or BACS transfer, with bank details provided on the invoice.

Artwork and Previous Orders

What artwork or logo files can I send?

Please supply the best quality artwork available. Digital artwork should ideally be high resolution and supplied as a JPG, PDF, TIFF, BMP or EPS file. Low-quality web images may not be suitable for print.

If you are supplying a photographic image, we can only reproduce it at the quality provided. Artwork can be emailed to us, and we recommend including your company name in the subject line so it can be matched to your order.

If I have ordered before, will you still have my details?

We keep details of previous orders and can usually refer back to your previous requirements. If you would like to repeat or review a previous Christmas card order, please contact us and we will be happy to help.

Can you supply blank Christmas cards?

Yes, we can supply blank Christmas cards in many designs, along with envelopes. Please contact us for a quotation, as pricing depends on the design and quantity required.

Cancellations and Guarantee

Can I cancel my order?

If you have requested a proof, you can cancel your order before the proof is approved. Once your proof has been approved, your order will go into production and it will be too late to cancel.

Because personalised Christmas cards are printed especially for you, orders cannot usually be cancelled once production has started.

Do you offer a guarantee?

We recommend ordering a free sample and carefully checking your proof before approval. In the unlikely event that your cards are printed incorrectly due to our error, we will reprint them without question.
